Privacy policy

Find Me a CPU has no accounts, no sign-up, and no newsletter. Nothing on the site asks for your name, email address, or payment details, and none of those are stored.

This policy describes the small amount of data the site does handle. It applies to findmeacpu.com and every page on it.

Cookies

The site sets one cookie, named currency. It stores the currency code you pick in the header, so that prices stay in your chosen currency between visits. It contains no identifier and is not used for advertising or profiling.

Clearing it in your browser simply returns the site to US dollars. Search, filters, sorting, page position, and comparison selections are kept in the URL rather than in cookies, which is why those links can be shared.

Analytics

Product analytics are collected through PostHog to see which pages and features are used, hosted in the European Union. Events record things such as the page visited, referrer, approximate location derived from the IP address, and browser and device type. They are used in aggregate to decide what to improve.

Analytics are not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to build marketing profiles. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal or you use a content blocker, the analytics script is typically not loaded at all and the site keeps working normally.

Server logs and hosting

The server keeps ordinary request logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, status code, and user agent — for security and debugging. They are not linked to any profile.

The site fetches processor data from PassMark CPU Benchmarks and exchange rates from the Frankfurter API on the server. Neither request carries anything about you: your browser never contacts those services on the site's behalf.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be deleted, or object to analytics processing. Write to [email protected]. Because there is no account system, in practice there is rarely anything to return beyond aggregate analytics events.

Material changes to this policy will be published on this page. The practices described here have applied since the site launched.
